Film Ferrania was an Italian photographic manufacturer founded in 1923 that produced vintage real photo postcards (RPPCs) and advertising postcards alongside its core film, paper, and camera businesses. Founded in Ferrania, Italy, the company grew to become a major European manufacturer of photographic products. During the 1920s, 1930s, and WWII era, Ferrania produced photographic paper stock configured as standard postcard backs (often sized 5.5 x 3.5 inches), allowing photographers to print real black-and-white photographs directly onto postcard stationery. The company also issued branded promotional and advertising postcards showcasing their photographic films and local Italian scenery or architecture.
