Antique Canco Beautebox rectangular lithographed tin featuring an elaborate Persian/tapestry-inspired floral and geometric design in gold, blue, red and green tones. The underside/interior is embossed "Beautebox CANCO," identifying it as a product of the American Can Company. Beautebox containers of this type date to the early 20th century and were used as decorative confectionery and gift tins. The ornate design makes this example particularly attractive as an early advertising or decorative-tin collectible.
