Málaga CF enjoyed a strong 2014/15 campaign under Javi Gracia, finishing 9th in La Liga with 50 points after an impressive first half of the season in which they equalled the club’s best-ever 31-point opening half. Málaga also reached the Copa del Rey quarter-finals, where Athletic Club eliminated them 1–0 on aggregate. One of the season’s standout results was a 1–0 victory over Barcelona at Camp Nou, while Juanmi finished as Málaga’s leading league scorer with eight goals. The 2014/15 yellow Nike kit was Málaga’s third kit rather than the away kit; the official away strip was black and grey. The yellow Nike Dri-FIT design featured black trim, Marathon Bet sponsorship and Benahavís branding on the back, with the photographed version also carrying official La Liga sleeve detailing.
