This piece is a U.S. Bicentennial commemorative token/medal (often produced in 1976), classified under exonumia rather than official legal tender coinage.
Obverse Design: Features overlapping dual profiles facing left—a classical Lady Liberty wearing a headband inscribed LIBERTY paired with a Native American figure wearing a full feathered war bonnet. Around the rim, it reads FREEDOM at the top and AMERICA at the bottom.
Reverse Design (typically): Most variants of this private token feature a flying bald eagle surrounded by 13 stars with the inscription UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and the double date 1776 - 1976.
Composition: Commonly struck in brass or base metals with a flash gold plating / lacquer finish.
Most of the items I sell are estate finds, and are presented to
you in, as is, as found condition. They are described to the best of my
knowledge. Some wear is to be expected, unless described as flawless or mint. I
cannot know everything about every item I offer, I do inspect each item and
list all known flaws or damage. So please take a good look at the photos and
ask questions if need be. If You buy multiple items from my store, YES, I
do combine shipping.
