Antique 18thC Sevres Porcelain Floral Softpaste Cup & Saucer Porzellan Tasse
This product data sheet is originally written in English.
For sale is a great cup and saucer made by Sevres during the 18th century in 1764. This set is made of soft paste porcelain which just has a stunning warmth to it and the enamel colors are just superb! Both pieces are hand painted with some superb floral arrangements as well as a nice gold trim. They are both marked underneath with the interlaced L mark and each has the little hole from the firing process typical of Sevres plus the usual incised marks as shown. The saucer does not have date codes or artist marks but the cup has the date letter L for 1764 and the artist mark but it seems like pieces are missing from that. Might be for Parpette who painted flowers during this time. The set is in superb condition with some minor wear. The cup is 2.375 inches tall and 2.87 inches in diameter.
