Blue Room Pottery Candileria Pair Velvet Purple Sailboat Stars Moon Luminaries

Pair of original BlueRoomPottery Candileria handmade pottery candle luminaries by Marietta Theodorou-LeMieux, finished in the distinctive Velvet Purple glaze with rich shades of blue, purple and turquoise.

The larger Candileria features an all-over celestial design with hand-cut stars, crescent moons and small circular openings.

The smaller example is a particularly attractive nautical variation featuring a prominent sailboat design surrounded by crescent moons, stars and additional geometric cutouts. I have not found this exact sailboat pattern among BlueRoomPottery's current offerings.

BlueRoomPottery Candileria are individually wheel-thrown with designs cut by hand rather than molded, giving each piece its own individual character. The Original Candileria line has been handmade in the USA since 1988.

Each consists of a removable pierced pottery dome and coordinating base designed to hold a tealight candle. When illuminated, the cutouts create a beautiful display of light, as shown in the photos.

Larger: approximately 5" tall x 4.5" diameter

Smaller Sailboat: approximately 4" tall x 4" diameter
