Prehnite is a rare gemstone that forms as a result of hydrothermal action in mafic volcanics and was named after the Dutch Colonel Hendrik Von Prehn who discovered the stone in the 18th century.

This listing is for a mirror polished on one side Prehnite specimen, originating from the Wave Hill in Northern Territory. The specimen features a green polished area on the front. The back and sides are left natural with some bulbous elevations on them.
