Very beautiful vintage 1950's "American Character" "Sweet Sue" doll. She is 14 inches high and hard plastic. She is a walker and when you move her legs, her head goes from side to side. She has bendable knees. She has an inset rooted saran wig, blue sleep eyes with full lashes and pretty face paint. She is wearing her original gown, panties, stockings and shoes. Original flowers in her hair. Her beautiful gown has an embroidered bodice and peplum, that is accented with rhinestones and flowers at her fitted waist. Tulle around the neckline and gathered on the sleeves, edged with delicate lace trim. Two tiered underskirt of taffeta, with tulle ruffles on each layer. It snaps in the back. Taffeta panties that have elastic at the waist and knees. Nylon stockings and satin shoes that snap on the top. I have added the ribbon to her hair and have made her a tulle petticoat to make her very full skirt stand out nicely.  She is in very good condition, these are the issues: She has a tiny split on one shoulder, her eyes do not open and close on their own and her shoes have worn areas on the front and have discolored due to age.
