DESCRIPTION

A Vietnamese Blue de Hue style porcelain covered bowl decorated in underglaze cobalt blue. The exterior features cranes beneath pine branches with flowering plants and distant landscape elements, while the cover continues the naturalistic decoration. Both pieces carry underglaze blue Noi Phu marks within the foot. Metal mounts protect and accent the rims, giving the bowl the characteristic appearance associated with Vietnamese court and scholarly porcelain traditions.
