The 2003 season saw the Seattle Mariners finish second in the American League West with a 93–69 record, narrowly missing the Wild Card despite spending 134 days in first place. Ichiro Suzuki, Bret Boone, Edgar Martinez, Jamie Moyer and Shigetoshi Hasegawa all earned All-Star selections, while Boone led the club with 35 home runs and 117 RBIs and Moyer recorded a franchise-best 21 victories. Seattle introduced a revised dark navy alternate jersey for 2003, with the Mariners wordmark across the chest and updated number styling, produced as part of Majestic's MLB Authentic Collection. The campaign completed a remarkable four-year stretch from 2000 to 2003 in which Seattle won 393 regular-season games, more than any other Major League club over that period.
