Offered is a really nice example of a full sized, brown donkey from the iconic Schoenhut Humpty Dumpty Circus collection.

Overall very good condition.

Jointed with a swivel head, open mouth with painted white teeth and glass eyes. Leather ears, rope tail, felt mane.

Hand painted chocolate brown with lighter belly.

The only noticed flaw is the left ear is worn

Very good working order, the stringing is tight, and it stands and poses easily.

Research concluded that this sized donkey with glass eyes dates between 1903 and 1915.

Schoenhut was a very large toy company based in Philadelphia and operated between 1903 and 1935.
