This antique 18th-century Chinese export oval platter is a rare and valuable piece of European decorated porcelain. Measuring 11" x 8", this handpainted plate/tray from the Qing Dynasty showcases intricate detail and craftsmanship. Made in China, this piece is a true representation of the fusion of Chinese workmanship and European artistry and heritage, making it a prized addition to any antique collection or decorative display.
The advice I’ve received is this is this is 18th Century Chinese export ware made for Europe to be decorated on arrival. This is decorated by hand with enamels in the style of the French faience. The indicator that this is Chinese rather than french is the base is not flat and has a rim. There are no chips or cracks but there is rubbing to the paintwork. This is however totally stunning and a beautiful piece of Porcelain. Asking £69 which well under the estimated value advice of £250 so a great Bargain. Please study the photos to see how beautiful this is.
