The ticket stub is in excellent condition with two very nice corners, a clean perforation, light surface wear, and no creases. Pictures were taken of the front and back of the stub to help with the condition and content.

The 1966 Indianapolis 500, the 50th running of the race, was marred by a massive first-lap accident that eliminated 11 cars and left only seven running at the finish. Graham Hill, making his Indianapolis 500 debut, took the lead after Jackie Stewart retired with just 10 laps remaining and held on to defeat defending winner Jim Clark by 41.13 seconds. Hill became only the second rookie to win the Indianapolis 500 in the race’s post-inaugural history, joining George Souders, who accomplished the feat in 1927.
