A vintage hardback edition of Arabian Nights, beautifully illustrated by the renowned artist W. H. Robinson and published by The Children's Press.
This charming edition includes a number of attractive colour illustrations featuring classic tales including Sindbad the Sailor, Aladdin, Ali Baba and the Forty Robbers, and many other stories from the Arabian Nights collection. A lovely addition for collectors of illustrated children's books and vintage classics.
Condition
The book is in good vintage condition overall for its age. The pictorial front board remains bright and colourful with general edge and corner wear. The cloth spine and boards show foxing, age-related staining and handling marks, with some fraying to the cloth at the head and foot of the spine. The rear board has surface marks and scuffs.
Internally, the binding is sound. There is a previous owner's inscription dated 1936 on the front endpaper. The pages show light age toning with occasional foxing, but the colour illustrations remain bright and attractive. Please study all photographs carefully as they form part of the description.
