📜 Description	Chinese Porcelain Gaiwan set comprising bowl, cover and saucer, decorated in the distinctive Faux Bois (wood grain) style. The exterior is richly painted with simulated wood grain in iron-red and black tones, highlighted with rope-twist borders in yellow enamel. The interior of the bowl features a finely painted figural scene beneath a border of stylised bats, a traditional symbol of blessing and good fortune in Chinese art. The underside bears an iron-red four-character Yong He Tang Zhi mark. Collector’s Notes: The Yong He Tang Zhi mark, meaning “Made for the Hall of Eternal Harmony,” is traditionally associated with the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty. However, pieces bearing this mark were frequently produced during the Republic Period, reflecting revivalist tastes and admiration for earlier imperial wares. Faux Bois decoration showcases the technical skill of porcelain painters in imitating natural materials and remains highly collectible today.
