Beautiful antique Gien France wading bird earthenware tile. Measures 8 inch square.  Cobalt blue with light blue and fuscia flowers on the border. Wading egret like bird on yellow with blue, green, and purples. Marked on back with GIEN, which dates it to 1827 to 1839, I believe.  Similar to other tiles by Dessous de Plat. No cracks, the edges have wear as shown.
