This is an original WWII issue HS-38 flying helmet receiver set, used by both the U.S. Army Air Forces and the U.S. Navy. The HS-38 assembly was the standard audio communication setup fitted to a variety of wartime flying helmets, including the AAF Type A-11 and AN-H-15, as well as various Navy models. This complete set includes a matched pair of ANB-H-1 receivers housed in their original bakelite cases, the correct woven Y-cord, and the distinctive red PL-354 plug used for connection to aircraft interphone systems.

The components remain in excellent overall condition, showing only light use and full functionality. The receivers have been tested and are in proper working order, delivering clear audio as originally intended. These sets were essential equipment for aircrew communication between pilot, navigator, and gunner positions during combat and training missions.

Original HS-38 sets like this are increasingly difficult to find loose, as they were often removed or lost over time. Perfect for completing an original AAF or USN flying helmet display, or for collectors seeking authentic WWII aviation communications equipment. A top-quality example and a must-have for any serious WWII aviation collection. All items sold are 100% guaranteed.
