The 2021/22 season formed part of Stevenage Borough Juniors' long-standing commitment to grassroots football and youth development in Hertfordshire. Established in 2000, the club had grown into one of the area's largest junior football organisations, providing structured football for hundreds of boys and girls across numerous age groups. During this period, its teams competed primarily within the Mid Herts League, alongside higher-level development opportunities for selected players. The campaign continued the club's established pathway of combining competitive youth football with coaching and player development, from its youngest age groups through to under-18 level.
