Presented is a wonderful set of 12 antique Durgin sterling silver demitasse spoons. These spoons are made in the Essex pattern, which began production in 1911. This is a handsome pattern with a beveled edge design around the handle and spade shaped terminals. The spoons have a monogram of P in Gothic lettering on the front.

This set of spoons is in excellent condition. The details of the pattern are nice and crisp. The gold wash is in great shape. There are no splits, no dents, no breaks, no monogram removals, and no repairs.

Each piece is stamped sterling as well as the maker's mark for Durgin, a retail mark for Bailey Banks & Biddle Co, and “pat'd.”

Each spoon measures about 4 1/4 inches long.

This total weight for the set is 138 grams or 4.9 regular ounces.
