Rotherham United endured a challenging
2003–04 season, finishing 17th in the First Division, just three points above
relegation. Under manager Ronnie Moore, the team struggled to replicate the
stability of the previous season. Their cup runs were short-lived, exiting in
the third round of both the FA Cup and League Cup. Despite the setbacks, they
narrowly avoided the drop, keeping their place in the division.
