A vintage Royal Copley rooster figurine produced in the USA during the mid twentieth century.

Finished in Royal Copley's characteristic blended gloss glaze, this ceramic cockerel features rich tones of orange, cream, green and deep blue. Although originally sold with a paper label, many surviving examples are now unmarked, as is the case here.

Made by the Spaulding China Company of Sebring, Ohio, this mid-century ceramic rooster is attributed to the Royal Copley range. The softly blended airbrushed glaze and expressive modelling are typical of the factory's decorative animal figures produced during the late 1940s and 1950s. It displays well and retains plenty of character. Clean example.
