This larger Wade example features naturalistic brown colouring, well-defined shell detail and a lift-off cover. At 15 cm long, it is noticeably larger than the more commonly found Wade tortoise trinket boxes.

Made by Wade in England, this glazed porcelain trinket box is modelled as a tortoise with a removable shell forming the lid. The natural brown shading and detailed moulding give it plenty of character, while its larger "Jumbo" size makes it less commonly encountered than the smaller versions. It presents very well.
