International buyers, please note: due to the fact that it has become so costly to post items to destinations outside the UK, we have decided to implement the eBay option not to accept returns from International buyers, unless of course we make a mistake. In the 15 years + that we have been trading on eBay we have only ever had two customers who have asked to return an item because they 'changed their mind, or bought the wrong item. We try and keep our prices and postage charges as low as we possibly can, so we cannot afford the losses that we would inevitably incur if we did accept remorse returns. We hope that you understand. This UK Free Post 'Buy it Now' is for a Boxed, DCC Ready, Hornby R2279, BR class 55 'Deltic' named 'St.Paddy' and numbered 55001. When we test ran this loco it oddly ran the wrong way. It runs well, just the wrong way. If you intend plugging in a digital decoder to this loco's 8-pin socket then you can make it run the correct way via CV29 on a Hornby decoder.
Although the box is in poor condition the loco itself, (apart from running the wrong way) is in excellent condition and appears to have had hardly any use. We got this loco from a shop that changed hands and we bought a lot of the the stock from the original owner, so this loco was probably returned by the original buyer because it ran the wrong way.
For those who don't know, DCC Ready simply means that this loco will run as it is on an analogue (DC) layout and will only need your own decoder (not included), plugged into the 8-pin socket on the loco's chassis for digital (DCC) use.
In view of the fact that this loco runs the wrong way and the box is not in good condition we are offering this Boxed Deltic at a reduced price of just £54.99.
