I did not find a publication date but compared some town population numbers and found they matched the 1931 census. 11" by 8 1/2" boards covered in red cloth with leather texture, gilt title on front and spine. Some wear and a water ring on the cover. Binding good, text complete and unmarked but with some foxing freckles. Maps show cities, towns villages, Class I & II and other roads and railways. The gazetteer section lists those cities, towns and villages alphabetically and includes their population and shows the related map for each. Great reference for anyone researching genealogy or anyone who loves the interesting place names in the UK.
