Records are professionally cleaned before sale unless they
are brand new. I aim to photograph all records accurately and have not awarded
a Mint grade to any unsealed record; Near Mint (NM) is the highest grade I use
unless the item is sealed. If a record has not been cleaned before photography,
it will be cleaned before dispatch.
I am unable to play-test every record in full, but I do
sample-play each record and pay particular attention to any visible marks or
scratches. Where necessary, I assess whether marks affect playback and grade
accordingly.
If a record has a slight warp that does not affect playback,
I will generally grade it no higher than VG+. However, I rarely list warped
records and use a Record Pi machine to help correct warps where possible.
All records are shipped in a sturdy record mailer. The vinyl
is placed in a new poly-lined inner sleeve and stored outside the original
sleeve to prevent transit damage. The record, inner sleeve and outer sleeve are
then placed in a protective outer poly sleeve. I try to photograph any notable
sleeve defects. Most newer records are in VG+ to NM condition and may require
fewer photographs. All records are stored vertically on Kallax shelving.
I grade using the Goldmine grading system and aim to grade
conservatively. Occasionally I may use additional "+" grades where I
feel a record falls between standard grades. While every effort is made to
grade accurately, mistakes can happen. If you are unhappy with your purchase,
please get in touch and I will do my best to resolve the issue.
I have over 20 years' experience selling on eBay. Records
are dispatched via Royal Mail Tracked 48, with tracking uploaded on the day of
posting. Items under £10 may be sent via Royal Mail 48 standard service.
GRADING GUIDE

not significantly affect playback. Sleeve remains clean and attractive with
only light wear.
VG+ (Very Good Plus): Light wear and visible scuffs may be
present, but playback remains strong. Sleeve may show moderate signs of age and
handling.
VG (Very Good): Noticeable wear and some surface noise may
be present, but the record remains enjoyable and fully playable. Sleeve shows
obvious wear.
G (Good): Significant wear, marks and surface noise, but
still playable without skips caused by damage. Sleeve will show heavy wear.
