Track Tester 301-063 – Instructions

The ME Track Tester is a basic track tester that uses three LEDs to indicate the status of the track. The tester is suitable for gauges N to OO/HO.

The tester will tell you:

General Use

Hold the tester firmly onto the rails being tested, with the + connection to the right-hand rail (facing forward). The other rail should meet one of the marked connectors indicating the gauge. Which combinations of LEDs light up will tell you the kind of layout.

Green LED Red LED Orange LED Meaning
On Off Off DC layout, Correct polarity
Off On On DC layout, reversed polarity
On On On AC layout (50/60Hz low frequency)
On On Off DCC layout (High frequency AC)
