This piece is one of 80 lots purchased from the PRIVATE ESTATE COLLECTION of an ANTIQUE DEALER from EAU CLAIRE, WISCONSIN. She had an incredible eye for the UNIQUE and SPECIAL. This SCANDINAVIAN OVAL BENTWOOD LIDDED BOX is dated 1877 and measures 6 1/4" wide by 4" high and 4 5/8" in depth. The person making this had EXCEPTIONAL TALENT and crafted a piece that is LOADED with SKILL and ATTENTION to DETAIL. The TOP is SLIGHTLY DOMED and made out of a piece of wood with the TIGHTEST of RINGS. All SEAMS and JOINTS are so intricate and well done. It has been assembled with SMALL PEGS and STITCHING.
