transparency, this is used software available due to business closure.
- I am uncertain whether
the serial on the box and codes can be re-used, as is. There is some additional
paperwork (including 2 x activation code printouts) in the box, but I cannot
100% confirm if everything required is present or not.

Activation Key
Requirement
- When first released,
AutoCAD LT 2007 was a perpetual license product that required users to enter a
serial number, product key, and an activation code to fully activate the
software.
- Activation was typically
done either online or via manual offline methods using a request code. Manual
activation was needed if your computer did not have internet access, if the
operating system was reinstalled or updated, or if hardware changes forced reactivation.
Current Status for
Activation
- As of 2019 onward,
Autodesk has stopped supplying activation codes for all software versions 2010
or earlier, including AutoCAD LT 2007.
- This means that even
with a legally purchased perpetual license, attempting to install or reinstall
AutoCAD LT 2007 today cannot be officially activated through Autodesk. Users
with existing installations may continue using the software, but reactivation
on a new PC is not supported.
Workarounds and
Installation Tips
- For users installing
AutoCAD LT 2007 on modern systems such as Windows 7, 8, 10, or 11, third-party
tools like the Longbow Converter can assist in making the installation
compatible and bypass compatibility issues.
- These tools do not
provide official activation codes but help the software run on newer operating
systems. Key considerations include:
- Installing to specified
folders (e.g., C:\acadlt2007 instead of Program Files)
- Installing required .NET
