| π Description |
Elegant Chinese Porcelain bowl decorated in Imari palette with Famille Rose enamels and gilt highlights. The exterior features shaped cartouches depicting Mandarin Ladies in a garden setting, surrounded by stylized floral and scrolling motifs in iron-red, underglaze blue, and gold. The interior displays a central floral medallion with delicate rim border decoration. The glaze has a soft celadon tint, typical of fine Qing wares, with refined painting and balanced composition. Visible hairlines and restoration are present, consistent with age and noted below. The form, decoration, and palette are characteristic of export wares produced during the Qianlong reign. Collectorβs Notes: Qianlong period Imari porcelain represents a fusion of Chinese craftsmanship with export tastes, combining underglaze blue with iron-red and gilding. Scenes of Mandarin Ladies were highly desirable in European markets and remain sought after today. Despite condition issues, such pieces retain strong decorative and historical appeal. |
