Please read and understand completely the entire item description before bidding.
I ship to US addresses only, please, no bidders outside of the USA.
Offered is a postwar (1949 - 1956) Marklin ST 800 4-unit passenger train, as shown. I acquired this with a recently purchased collection.
The cosmetic condition I would grade as C-5 (or perhaps, C-6) using TCA standards. There are numerous paint chips, scratches, areas of missing paint, however, the carbodies themselves appear undamaged.
There are no pantographs.
The outer box is as shown. The box top has one split corner and wear on its edges. The box bottom has no problems and is quite sturdy. Other than the end label, there are no other identifying marks. There is no interior box inserts, packing etc., and no instruction booklet or other paperwork.
I understand that this train operates on 20 volt DC current. As such, I have no way to test it for operation. Therefore, for this auction we will consider the model to be non-operational.
That being the case, this auction is being conducted on an AS IS, NO RETURNS basis. Please keep this in mind as you consider bidding.
Please examine the photographs for condition, and ask questions BEFORE you bid.
The winning bidder will contribute $20.00 towards shipping via USPS Ground Advantage Service w/tracking (this is a heavy item). I will absorb any excess, and any shipping overage greater than $1.00 will be refunded to your PayPal account. It is not my intent to make a profit from shipping. I don't like "handling charges" and have never charged for packing materials.
I will discuss a return if the item is damaged in transit, or if I have failed to represent it accurately (I haven't).. In any event "Buyer's Remorse" will never be an excuse to return any item I will list.
Thank you for considering my auction.
