The classic poem is here illustrated by several esteemed artists, including but not limited to T. Creswick, R. Redgrave, John Bell, and H. J. Townsend. Produced by the London-based The Etching Club (founded in 1838 by Charles West Cope), which played a major role in reviving original printmaking and etching as a fine art in Britain. This copy, original bound using gutta percha, has been professionally rebound after this glue naturally perished, restoring the work with all original contents present. 

      Original prints and bound copies from this 1847 edition are preserved in major institutions including the Victoria and Albert Museum and the British Museum.
