Offered here is a beautiful Chinese antique blue and white porcelain vase, dating to the Kangxi period (1662–1722). The vase is finely decorated with a scene of four ladies enjoying flowers beneath the moon in a garden setting. It is elegantly potted with a baluster body and features a pair of elephant-head handles at the shoulders.

The vase was later clobbered in Europe, likely during the 19th century, a practice in which imported Chinese porcelain was embellished with overglaze enamels to suit Western tastes. In this example, much of the original white background has been decorated with gilding, while the remaining areas are enhanced with colorful dragons, floral motifs, and other ornamental details, creating a striking fusion of Chinese and European decorative traditions.

The underside bears a leaf mark, a characteristic mark commonly associated with Kangxi-period porcelain. The vase measures approximately 11 1/4 inches in height.

Condition: The vase is in excellent antique condition, with no visible chips, cracks, or hairlines. There is minor wear and glaze loss to some of the later clobbered decoration, consistent with age and handling.
