The fifth album from Amsterdam-based artist Joris Voorn finds him sounding more open and emotionally fluid than ever. Written across a turbulent period between touring and personal loss, it's an album rooted in catharsis but styled with intent. Tracks like 'Tomorrow' and 'Flora' (with Jan Blomqvist) balance melodic clarity with rhythmic warmth, drawing from Voorn's deep well of house and techno influences while keeping arrangements uncluttered and vital. The YOTTO and White Lies-assisted 'Seventeen' and the Tom Walker collaboration 'Burn' stretch further into euphoric terrain, with Voorn's signature shimmer intact. Even on ambient sketches like 'Tryptamine' or the live-feeling closer 'Moon' (with Nathan Nicholson), the palette feels precise. Long known for his perfectionism and cross-disciplinary design mindset, Voorn now channels that energy into something looser, more tactile-dancefloor-focused but made to linger.
