Borg Warner 3 speed automatic transmission (BW35) has been the subject of a recent professional overhaul. Oil is still crystal clear.
The cruising speeds are as follows:
60 mph: around 2,700–2,900 rpm
70 mph: around 3,200–3,400 rpmThe tall 3.07 differential helps compensate for the lack of overdrive, so the automatic cruises comfortably.
Finished in Mineral Blue with black hide upholstery and displays 65,900 miles.
The car is very presentable but it is not concourse. Budgets for those cars are £15 - £20k. This is currently the cheapest functional / rust free MGC on the market although this does not reflect its condition as it still looks and drives lovely. I have recently brought a Bentley so I have priced the vehicle to sell.
