Antique Edwardian/Art Deco Multi-Strand Seed Pearl Necklace with 9ct or 15ct Gold Clasp in Branded Harman Co & Lambert Box Presentation Case
An exceptionally delicate, early 20th-century genuine natural seed pearl multi-strand necklace, complete with its rare original presentation box from prestigious Bond Street retailers Harman & Co.
Retailer: Harman & Co. Ltd. (& Lambert), 177 New Bond St. & 10 Coventry St., London. Circa 1910- 1925 (Dated by the historic retailer transitional address stamp inside the lid). Necklace Style: Meticulous multi-strand torsade/strands of fine, high-luster seed pearls. Clasp: Traditional antique gold bolt ring clasp (stamped/hallmarked on the adjacent jump ring).
Necklace: Excellent antique condition. The strands are structurally intact and the pearls retain a beautiful, soft natural orient/luster. Minor normal age-related toning to the silk thread near the clasp terminals as expected with a piece of this era.
Presentation Box: Gorgeous condition. Deep wine/morocco leatherette exterior with minimal edge wear. The ivory silk lid lining features a crisp, clear gilt retailer stamp. The black velvet base insert is clean and vibrant. Secure push-button clasp works perfectly.
