Rare Cartier London signed bracelet with 6 coin and medallion charms

Oval and "C-bar" linked bracelet in 9ct rose and yellow gold, with hook fitting. Signed Cartier London, signed workshop number "L1599". XRF tested for 9ct gold. Dating from circa 1948 - 1949. Following the end of WWII, the Cartier London workshop independently produced a range of Jewellery items from 9ct gold because of British economic restrictions and tax laws

Round medallion monogrammed "EDW" in 9ct yellow gold. Unsigned. XRF tested for 9ct gold. Dating from circa 1949. Original Cartier receipt notes "engraving initials on a gold link bracelet and disc", which relates specifically to this charm and the bracelet in point no. 1 above,

British 22ct Gold George II "Spade" Guinea from 1788, set in 18ct yellow gold double bezel frame with claw mounts. Signed "Cartier".

British 22ct Gold Queen Victoria "Young Head" Sovereign, Melbourne, from 1879, set in 18ct yellow gold wide bezel frame with fluted cut design and rope twist edge. Signed "Cartier" with workshop number "L1492".

French 24ct Gold King Philip VI "Écu d'or à la chaise", 1st Emission (C. 1337 - 1342), set in 18ct yellow gold bezel frame with ribbed edging. Hallmarked for 18ct with London hallmark, no Cartier signature evident (rubbed).

Round medallion scripted "To my Dearest Buddy with all my Love forever and ever" in 18ct yellow gold. Signed "Cartier" with Jacques Cartier hallmark and workshop number "K8999".

Round medallion monogrammed "To my very darlingestheart from your Buddy" in 9ct yellow gold. Hallmarked, no Cartier signature.

This ultra rare Jewel was commissioned by Formula One Royalty Ron Walker Esq. for his wife Elizabeth Dorothea Walker in 1949. The various charms were added between 1949 and 1960, often as mementos to share in their common love for ancient coins. The nickname "Buddy" is scripted on a couple of the pieces, which was a name Betty would use due to their inseparable nature.

Acquired from the family of the original owners, this piece remains one of the most important untouched examples of early gold Cartier Jewellery from the post-war Jacques Cartier London workshop.

The original sales document offers unmatched history, authenticating this rare item as belonging to its famous previous owners.

All orders will be shipped using Australia Post Express mail with signature within Australia, and EMS with signature Internationally.
Other courier services (DHL & FedEx) can be arranged at the buyer's expense.
The buyer will assume full responsibility over any associated risks, once the parcel has been dispatched.

No refunds will be issued for items seized by customs, unless they are returned within 14 days of receipt and in the same condition as when dispatched.
