DESCRIPTION

A finely carved Chinese bamboo brush pot decorated in high relief with an attractive continuous riverside landscape. The detailed carving depicts boats, figures, trees, pavilions and village architecture in a traditional composition. The bamboo has developed a rich dark brown patina from age and use. An interesting decorative example of Qing Dynasty craftsmanship despite its significant damage.
