Antique Imperial Faberge Gilt Silver Malachite Easter Egg Pendant Henrik Wigström

 

I am pleased to present to you for sale this incredible old antique egg pendant from the Imperial era of Fabergé.

The egg is made in around year 1910 by Henrik Wigström - a leading workmates in of the House of Fabergé.

The pendant is made of highest quality malachite and is encased with gilded solid silver.

The pendant is together with its original gift box which is also in the shape of an egg. The box is made of brass and is decorated with floral ornaments and an orthodox cross. It is also figured with silver letters ХВ (the Easter greeting „Христос воскресе“ meaning “Jesus has risen”) and silver imperial crowns.

Such jewels were made by the special ordered of the imperial court and were personally presented on the occasion of Easter to the closest entourage and friends of the Romanov family.

The egg is marked with the respective Imperial silver hallmark “84” and the initials of the workmaster “H.W.“.
