Mirta Ostroff-Delillo Hand-Painted Leather Masquerade Mask — Buenos Aires, Argentina

Beautiful hand-crafted and hand-painted leather masquerade wall mask by Mirta Ostroff-Delillo of Buenos Aires, Argentina. This is genuine molded Argentine leather, shaped and worked by hand into a dramatic, sculptural face form — a technique that combines pirograbado (pyrography/wood-burning), openwork, esgubiado, modeling, and dyeing.

Finished in a striking emerald green and black harlequin diamond pattern with hand-inked linework, a delicate spiderweb motif on one panel, and tiny hand-painted floral accents along the lower edge. The reverse shows the natural raw suede leather with the maker’s original “Ostroff-Delillo Leather Mask, Buenos Aires” label still attached, along with the original black cord ties.
