Operation Notes for PL530 Laser Module PL530E

(Rev. 11-14-23)

1.   Refer to the included Panel Layout drawing for the operation functions of the module.

2.   Connect +5VDC (2 Amp) power supply to the power jack.

3.   Slide the ON/OFF switch to ON position to turn on the power. The “Temp Good” LED will flash between RED and GREEN colors, wait a few seconds for the LED color turning to GREEN completely.

4.   Once the “Temp Good” LED is stabilized on Green, press the “Laser Enable” pushbutton switch to enable the laser power and the “Laser Enable” LED will change the color from RED to GREEN

5.   The green light beam will output from the small window. Please be aware of that don’t look the window directly when the power is on.

6.   The laser power can reach to over 50 mW when shipped, but it may change or reduce the power at the later time.

7.   To get the desired laser power output rather than the default settings, users can adjust the laser and heater potentiometers to change it. The heater current has a significate effect to the power output.

8.   The default settings are: the laser current preset to 450 mA (limited to 480 mA), the heater current to 66 mA (limited 100 mA) approximately.
