The following notice is aimed at those who use batteries or products with built-in batteries and no longer resell them in the form delivered to them (end users):
1. Free return of old batteries
Batteries must not be disposed of with household waste. You are legally obliged to return old batteries so that they can be disposed of correctly. You can hand in used batteries at a municipal collection point or at your local store. As a battery distributor, we are also obliged to take back old batteries, although our take-back obligation is limited to used batteries of the type that we carry or have carried as new batteries in our range. You can therefore either send used batteries of the type mentioned above back to us with sufficient postage or hand them in free of charge directly to our shipping warehouse at the address given in the legal notice.
2. Meaning of the battery symbols
Batteries are marked with the symbol of a crossed out garbage can (see below). This symbol indicates that batteries must not be disposed of with household waste. For batteries that contain more than 0.0005 percent by mass of mercury, more than 0.002 percent by mass of cadmium or more than 0.004 percent by mass of lead, the chemical name of the pollutant used is located under the garbage can symbol - "Cd" stands for cadmium, "Pb" stands for lead, and "Hg" for mercury.

The following information is aimed at private households that use electrical and/or electronic devices. Please note these important instructions in the interest of environmentally friendly disposal of old devices and your own safety.
1. Information on the disposal of (old) electrical devices and the meaning of the symbol according to Appendix 3 to the ElektroG:
Owners of old devices must collect them separately from unsorted municipal waste. Old electrical and electronic devices must therefore not be disposed of as unsorted municipal waste and in particular do not belong in household waste. Rather, these old devices must be collected separately and disposed of via local collection and return systems.
Owners of old devices must also generally separate old batteries and accumulators that are not enclosed by the old device, as well as lamps that can be removed from the old device without destroying them, before handing them over to a collection point.
Using the symbol in Appendix 3 to the ElektroG, owners can identify old devices that must be collected separately from unsorted municipal waste at the end of their service life. The symbol for the separate collection of electrical and electronic equipment is a crossed-out wheeled bin and is designed as follows:

2. 2 BGB), the following applies restrictively:
An old device of the same type and function will only be collected free of charge if it is a device in category 1 (heat exchangers), 2 (screens, monitors, devices with screens with a surface area of more than 100 square centimeters) and/or 4 (large devices in which at least one of the external dimensions is more than 50 centimeters).
If instead it is an old device of category 3, 5 and/or 6, free collection will not take place and the following letter b) applies instead to the free return.
b) Return when purchasing a new device and returning it elsewhere/returning small devices
When concluding a purchase contract with us for a new electrical device that is not delivered to a private household and when selling a new device in categories 3, 5 and/or 6 exclusively using means of distance communication (§ 312c para. In this case, the return option by the end user is limited to 3 old devices per device type.
When selling exclusively using means of distance communication (§ 312c para. 2 BGB) the return takes place under the above-mentioned conditions
of old devices in categories 3, 5 and/or 6
of old devices that are not larger than 25 centimeters in any external dimension,
through suitable return options within a reasonable distance from the respective end user.
Otherwise, the return will take place at the place of delivery or in the immediate vicinity.
To fulfill our obligations, we have created the following return options:
You can send us the device in question free of charge. We will send you a return label.
For devices that need to be picked up due to their size or weight, we will arrange a pick-up date with you.
Please contact us beforehand.
c) Other return options
Owners of old devices from private households can also hand in the old devices at the collection points of the public waste disposal authorities or at the collection points set up by manufacturers or distributors in accordance with the ElektroG.
3. Note on data protection
Old devices that are to be disposed of sometimes contain sensitive personal data (e.g. on a PC or a smartphone) that must not fall into the hands of third parties.
We expressly point out that end users of old devices are responsible for deleting personal data on the old devices to be disposed of.
