The 2015–16 season saw Reading finish 17th in the Championship during a campaign marked by managerial changes, with Steve Clarke, Martin Kuhl (interim), and Brian McDermott taking charge at various points. The club impressed in the FA Cup, reaching the quarter-finals before being eliminated by Crystal Palace, and exited the League Cup in the third round against Everton. Nick Blackman was the standout player, finishing as the top scorer with 13 goals in all competitions. Matches were played at the Madejski Stadium.
