• Battle context: The Battles of Hennersdorf and Kesselsdorf were the decisive final engagements of the Second Silesian War (1744–1745). These Prussian victories forced Austria and Saxony to sign the Treaty of Dresden on December 25, 1745, which confirmed Frederick the Great’s control over Silesia..
