Here we have a gorgeous, rare Art Deco Shelley Harmony teapot stand/trivet. Shelley Harmony ware was created by Shelley's lead designer Eric Slater in 1932. It was actually discovered by complete accident when he mixed too much thinning turpentine with the glaze! It produced random patterns and Shelley then produced vibrant coloured glazes with this running and dripping effect which became so popular - I still think these are so beautiful and so undervalued. This example has a beautiful graduated green colourway, ranging from pale mint through vivid green to a dark central spiral, with concentric rings creating a wonderful almost hypnotic effect. The hand applied nature of Harmony ware means that individual examples have their own variations in pattern and colour. It measures approximately 5.75 inches in diameter. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask.

International Buyers – Please Note:

Import duties; sometimes there will be a charge, I think this is mainly charged on high value items, this is something that the Government enforces to which I have no control of. I declare the value of the parcel as the price the item sold for plus shipping costs.

Import duties, taxes, and charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges are the buyer's responsibility.

Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding or buying.
