A year ago, Makin' Moves dropped a digital-only Afro-house collaboration between rising star Ce ElAssaad and singer-songwriter Sabryna Child. Now that tasty morsel, 'The Time is Here', lands on vinyl with the addition of fresh reworks by the mighty Ron Trent. The Windy City house icon first offers up a typically gorgeous remix in which Chyld's effortlessly soulful vocals rub shoulders with jazzy synth-bass, echoing chords and cosmic electronic flourishes atop a deep and tactile house groove, before dropping a weightier, deeper and more stripped-back 'dub '. Over on side B, ElAssaad offers up two of his most potent 2025 mixes, with the bouncy, percussion rich and electric piano-flecked 'Afro mix' being joined by the rolling, shuffling soulful house bump of the 'club mix'.
