A rare, terminated, natural untreated blue-green gem Apatite crystal from Namalulu, Tanzania. Apatite specimens from Namalulu are scarce, and highly sought after. This apatite crystal has incredible colouring and saturation which 'glows' when backlit, neon blue flashes, and pleochroism; shifting from rich neon blue hues to blue-green shades when viewed from different directions. It also features a beautiful termination with a light secondary calcite coating, very subtle rainbow sparkles under bright light, etchings, self-healing, wonderful translucency with areas of gemmy transparency, and a 'wet' lustre classic to this locale. An utterly gorgeous little thumbnail specimen.
