Here is a substitute for the original power switch for the Black Cat JB2000 base amplifier. The original switch is around 50 years old. It had a built-in neon pilot lamp. This one does not. The two screws that mount it have the same 6-32 thread as the factory switch and the same 1-5/8-inch spacing. This makes it a mechanical drop-in replacement.

It does have the original 20-Amp current rating. Just be sure that the relay that activates the amplifier's high voltage is properly delayed. That relay protects the power switch from the high-voltage turn-on surge current. If you bypass that relay, the power switch gets the whole slap of surge current when you turn on the amplifier. Won't last long that way. If you bypass the high-voltage relay and spot-weld the contact points together in the new switch, feel free to buy another one and burn it up the same way.

Because this switch has no pilot light, I include a neon panel lamp. You'll have to drill a half-inch hole in the front panel to mount it and provide two wires to hook it up. One pic shows where the hot side wire goes. The other pilot-lamp wire goes to chassis ground. 

There are no returns. If I wanted it back it wouldn't be listed for sale here, would it? Of course not.
