Up for sale is a pair of WWII era (production year: 1945, serial number starts with 'B') Bausch & Lomb U.S. Navy Mark MK 41 7x50 Wide Field Binoculars with 10 degree FOV. Although the exterior finish is quite worn, optically this pair is very good. Except for some minor dust, specs, and grease marks, no chips, mold, or fungus inside. Images are quite clear and bright for the age. Wide field images are impressive. Collimation is very good. Coatings are in good condition for the binoculars' age and history. Right side ocular lens does show signs of early and minor Canada balsam separation (three thin lines, please see the listing pic), but do not affect imaging much. The two individual focusers are quite stiff due to aged grease inside but do rotate and work. Overall, a very decent pair of rare and famous WWII era wide field military binoculars.
