Both Edward and Langley and Joseph Hayse Goodwin were artists for the movie studios. Langley was the art director for the Fairbanks Studio on such films as "Three Musketeers," and "Mark of Zorro." He is well known for his plein air style paintings, created directly in the beautiful California outdoors.
This piece came from the collection of Joseph Hayse Goodwin, as consigned by his family. Joseph Hayse Goodwin was a pre-production film artist for all of the major Hollywood studios in the 1930's and 1940's.
