Up for sale is a book on law that is still very relevant today! It is a multi-author volume containing the proceedings of a symposium held on March 15, 1963 at the School of Law of Tulane University, New Orleans, Louisiana. The subject was the legal issues that were arising from the rapid development of the incredible offshore oil and mineral wealth of the Gulf Coast. There is ongoing interest in this legal field, particularly in view of environmental issues ranging from massive oil spills (e.g. the BP Deepwater Horizon disaster) to relentless coastal erosion. This book has some very interesting early legal perspectives.
